About Me (And Why You Might Care)
I’m Nick Walden—brand strategist, creative director, and frequent translator of marketing speak into real human language.
For the past 15 years, I’ve helped shape brands, build campaigns, and lead creative work that gets results without losing its soul. I currently serve as SVP, Area Creative Director and Partner at Elasticity, where I scaled our creative practice from a team of one (me) into the firm’s top-performing division.
I’ve been fortunate to lead creative efforts for everything from websites and apps to retail packaging, public health campaigns, and brand identities—across industries that don’t always play well together. My past clients include GoDaddy, Harley-Davidson, Fireball Whisky, Scouts BSA, The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and the Cortex Innovation Community.
Whether I’m building a brand from scratch or helping one course-correct, I bring strategy-first thinking, a collaborative approach, and just enough healthy skepticism to keep things interesting.
Ways to Work Together
-
I help define what makes your brand different, relevant, and clear. This might include brand architecture, positioning platforms, tone of voice, and messaging systems that align your internal teams and make external work easier (and better).
-
Whether you’re launching a new brand, refreshing an old one, or finally fixing that logo you’ve grown to resent, I can lead the creative process or partner with your internal/external team to bring the work to life.
-
Need to make the leap from strategy to execution? I help plan, concept, and guide integrated campaigns across digital, social, print, video, and whatever else your audience will actually see.
-
From team structure to process design, I advise agencies and in-house teams looking to scale their creative operations or strengthen their strategic thinking.
Sound Like a Fit?
I take on a limited number of projects each quarter so I can stay hands-on.
If you’re interested in working together—or just want to kick around ideas—get in touch. I’m always up for a good conversation (especially if there’s coffee involved).
